Cardboard Box Certificate Explained

This part of the box certificate specifies whether corrugated carton is constructed from one or many corrugated cardboard layers. Our boxes meet all construction requirements and freight classification.

Edge Crush Test is a new standard that has achieved a widespread acceptance. It is considered as being a true performance test and is directly related to the stacking strength of a carton. ECT value represents the edgewise compressive strength of corrugated board. It is measured in ponds per linear inch (lb/in) and usually reported as ECT value (Ex: 40 ECT).

This part of the box certificate specifies the maximum size of the box. (L + W + H)

This part of the box certificate specifies the maximum weight this box will hold. Boxes loaded above the "Gross WT. LT." will tend to get damaged very easily.   Legally, a shipper can refuse to pay a damage claim if a damaged box was loaded beyond it's capacity.
